My Autobiography

Note: If you want to take master degree abroad, I am sure that you have to make autobiography  as university requirements. If you never write any autobiography, maybe my autobiography can be a sample. I hope this autobiography can give you inspiration and help you to write your autobiography.

Anggi's Autobiography

My name is Anggi Regiana Agustin. I was born in Bandung, West Java Province, Indonesia on August 25, 1990. I’m a second child and have 2 siblings from an ordinary family. My father’s name is Nurhayat  and my mother’s name is Siti Jenab.  At the age of 6 years old, precisely in 1996, I went to elementary school namely SDPN Setiabudhi Bandung that the distance is not too far from my house. 6 years later I went to junior high school for 3 years from 2002 – 2005. After graduated from junior high school I have decided to continue my study in vocational high school majoring in chemistry analyst because I interested learning chemistry.

My passion is to learn chemistry, I really enjoyed during my study in vocational high school. In 2008 I have been selected from my school to join student competition of National Chemistry Olympic that held in Makasar, Indonesia. This competitionhas several stages started from qualification stages until final stage. With my passion and hard work I’m succeed to reach the final stages.  Unfortunately in final stages, I just finished in 2nd position as runner up. But I’m very proud with my achievement as this competition has been conducted among vocational high school in Indonesia. In 2009 I have graduated from vocational high school then I continued my study in PoliteknikNegeri Bandung majoring in chemical engineering.

During at college I always got scholarship from 2nd semester until last semester. I’m very grateful because these scholarships really helped my parents to reduce their spending for my cost at college. I kept my hard work and always give my best so I have achieved outstanding GPA 3.57 out of 4.00. I have realized that to be success I need to improve not only in hard skill but also in soft skill. To improve my soft skill, I have involved in many activities on my student community related to discussion, events, competitions and seminars. 

My last year at college, I had apprentice program in chemical industry. I got this opportunity in Rohm and Haas Indonesia, a world class company that owned by Dow Chemical Company. I have learned about chemical process industry, raw materials handling, waste water treatment and process improvement. As Process Engineer staff, I have assignment to reduce natural gas consumption from boiler. My time window to finish this assignment is 2 months, started from November until Desember 2012. After collect and analyze data I found conclusion that natural gas consumption at Rohm and Haas Indonesia could be reduced by 10%. It can be achieved by reuse condensate water as boiler feed water and install boiler economizer.   It was a great experience working together with all employees at Rohm and Haas, they showed integrity and good professionalism at work that should be followed by me when I get work.

September 21, 2013 is my graduation day from Politeknik Negeri Bandung. I’m very happy and proud got bachelor degree with cumlaude GPA. After graduated from college, I spent my time and energy for my wedding preparation on October 20, 2013. I have married with Hasni Yamani. Since married, I moved to Cilegon and live together with my husband, I started to find a job and scholarship for master program. On Desember 2013, I got master degree scholarship form DIKTI. This program prepared for applicant who will become a lecture in Polytechnic. In early Desember 2013 I started to joined English course for IELTS preparation. Now I’m studying in National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Department Graduate Chemical Engineering.
